David Puig, fifth after the first day of the Macau tournament

Mito Pereira, with a card of 64 strokes (six under par), is second, just one stroke behind the leader, the Chinese Hao-Tong Li, after the first day of Macau International Seriesvalid for the Asian Circuit.

The Chilean, number 149 in the world rankings and soon to be 29, had a first round with seven birdies and one bogey. He occupied second place shared with American Pat Perez and Japanese Yuta Sugiura.

Chinese Hao-Tong Li leads the way, with 63 hitsthe result was eight birdies and one bogey.

The best Spaniard is David Puig, with 65 shots (six birdies, one bogey), in a very shared fifth place which also includes Mexican Carlos Ortiz (seven birdies, two bogeys).

Among the other Spaniards, Carlos Pigem scored 68, Sergio García scored 72 and Eugenio López-Chacarra left with 74.
