The Women’s Super League set a new record for cumulative attendance of 717,721 fans with six days remaining this season, according to BBC. The numbers for the current campaign surpass the previous record of 689,297 fans from the 2022-23 season after the Chelsea-Arsenal record, with 32,970 fans witnessing their 3-1 victory over the Gunners team on friday
A new attendance record for a WSL match was also set this season with Arsenal’s victory over Manchester United at the Emirates Stadium last month. After next weekend (March 23-24), when there is a men’s international break, all WSL teams except West Ham have played at least one match in their main stadium this season.
