Nemanja Maksimovic, Serbian midfielder for Getafewill play starting next season at Panathinaikos, as confirmed by the Greek club through an official statement. Getafe will lose one of its most important players in recent times. Maksimovic has become a pillar in the middle of the field since the 2018/19 season, the year in which he joined the team led by José Bordalás from Valencia and in exchange for ten million euros.
Maksimovic, in six seasons, and in the final rounds of this season to be played, added a total of 213 official matches in which he scored nine goals and provided two assists.
The Serbian midfielder left his country in 2012 to play in the youth ranks of Hellas Verona. Before signing for Valencia in 2017, he was also part of Slovenian club Domzale and Kazakhstan’s Astana.
