Ricardo Ten won 3 medals on the closing day of the Paralympic Track World Championships held in Rio de Janeiro, silver in Scratch C1, bronze in Omnium C1 and gold in the Elimination exhibition event, where Luis Arcega also won bronze.
The Valencian cyclist was just short of a medal in the CRI Kilometer and the Individual Pursuit, fourth in both events, but he was unforgiving on the final day of competition in an exhibition.
To begin with, Ten finished second in the scratch and, with that result, he got bronze in the C1 class Omnium. In addition, he gave all those present at the Rio de Janeiro velodrome an unforgettable display to win the C1-C2 Elimination exhibition event, where Luis Arcega won the bronze.
Ten, in a deeper test like Scratch, showed the quality to dominate the sprint for the silver medal and beat Senska, Li and Keith, while ahead of us Weicong Liang took the rainbow. This second position also gave the Spaniard third position in the Omnium, which would not be the last medal of the day for him.
Ten again shined in the C1-C2 elimination, which was listed as an exhibition, but with the awarding of medals. The Valencian runner gave a real performance to beat all the participants, including those with a higher functional class.
Furthermore, on this last day of the World Cup competition, the Spanish team also had the participation of Luis Arcega in the C2 class scratch, where he finished 8th, which allowed him to finish the omnium in seventh place. Eduardo Santas finished ninth in both the C3 scratch and omnium.
