Jannik Sinner was declared the champion of the Miami Open 2024 this Sunday. The Italian got rid of last year’s thorn, when he lost in the final against Daniil Medvedev, and completed a dream week in which he once again showed that he is the strongest tennis player so far this season.
The final against Grigor Dimitrov was not particularly brilliant. 6-3, 6-1 in less than an hour and a quarter left thousands of viewers wanting more that filled the Miami Dolphins stadium.
Among them are two music stars: Shakira and Laura Pausini. Neither of them wanted to miss the date, although the intensity and passion levels of the two were very different.
And while the Colombian enjoyed the game calmly and slowly, The Italian was deeply moved by the good deed of his compatriot, whom he congratulated after the match, both through social media and in person.
“Our champion Jannik Sinner once again led Italy to victorythanks to his talent, his training, his willpower and his character. You are a great source of pride for all of us and an example for all the youth. It’s so nice to be by your side on such an important day!
