Rafa Nadal has announced that he will not appear again next week in the Monte Carlo Masters 1,000 and, in his announcement, he left a disturbing message: “My body will not let me.”
“These are difficult times for me speaking of sports. Unfortunately, I inform you that I will not play in Monte Carlo. My body will not allow me,” the former world number 1 wrote on his social network.
“And, although I continue to work and try my best every day with the hope of competing in tournaments that have become so important to me, the truth is that today I cannot,” added Nadal.
“I have no choice but to accept the situation and try to look towards the immediate future while maintaining hope and wanting to give myself a chance for things to improve. A big hug to everyone and thank you for your constant love and support ! ” Rafa finished.
