Almost 400 members of the National Police will ensure the security and good progress of the sporting event that this coming Sunday, at 9:00 p.m., two teams from the city will compete, Real Betis Football and Seville FC, at the stadium Benito Villamarinand which, as explained by the subdelegate of the Government of Spain in Seville, Francisco Toscano, will remain active from Saturday, April 27, in its pre-critical phase, until the evening of Sunday, April 28. There will be 390 national police, around 100 local police officers along with private security members of both clubs.

After the Safety Meeting, Toscano recalled that “the purpose of this sporting event is to enjoy”, which is why he called on both fans to celebrate the derby “before, during and after with sportsmanship and passion, which is what their teams expect of them.”

The device will activate its pre-critical phase on Saturday, where members of the Citizen Services and Prevention and Reaction Unit will be present in the South and Nervión areas of the city, with special attention to the presence of groups of ultra followers of the same group.

When the day is advanced to Sunday, at 1:00 pm the critical phase will be activated, which will last up to an hour before the game, which will be played at 9:00 pm In this operation, agents from the Police Intervention Unit (UIP ), supported by the Cavalry and Prevention and Reaction Units (UPR), will participate around the Sánchez Pizjuán, protection services in the concentration hotels of the same team and the referee trio , as well as the subsequent escort of the buses of team until their arrival at Villamarín and to the accompaniment and protection of Sevilla FC fans at the Real Betis stadium.

Once the match starts, the interior and exterior of the Villamarín, the surroundings of the venue and the access of the fans to the interior of the sports venue will be controlled, which will remain under the supervision of different units of the National Police until the end of the match .
