This Thursday, the President of the Government of the Balearic Islands, Margalida Prohens, received in the audience the president and founder of the Sports for Equality Association, Daddy Ferrer, along with the sports director, Sonia Pinto. The hearing took place at the emblematic Consolat de Mar, in Palma de Mallorca, and was attended by the General Director of Sports, Juan Antonio Ramonell.
In the meeting, the Sports for Equality Association’s proposal for holding the First Congress of Social Responsibility in Sports was discussed. The association emphasized the importance of training, education and re-education to promote the values of sport, with the aim of promoting equality, respect and inclusion in all sports disciplines.
President Prohens expressed his support for this initiative and emphasized the relevance of addressing issues of social responsibility in the field of sports. It recognized the key role played by organizations such as the Sports for Equality Association in promoting positive values and driving significant changes in sports culture.
Additionally, during the hearing, the Sports for Equality Association had the honor of delivering a t-shirt specially designed by the Willin brand to President Prohens, commemorating the association’s 8 years. This t-shirt symbolizes the association’s continued commitment to equality in sport and its gratitude for the support of the Government of the Balearic Islands.
