The remarkable sponsor that accidentally raised the temperature of MotoGP: Folladore

Date:

Moto2 World Championship leader, Joe Roberts, rides for the OlyFans American Racing Team. And if that is not enough, at the top of the table in the intermediate category of the Motorcycle World Championship, he is joined since Friday at the Le Mans GP by another name that raises the temperature: Folladore.

One of the best teams in the Moto2 World Championship, SpeedUp Racing, owned by Luca Boscoscuro, which uses its own chassis with the same owner’s name, surprised this weekend at Le Mans by bringing new main sponsor with a catchy name for fans. Spanish: Foladore. So, the great candidate for the title, the Spanish Fermín Aldeguer and his partner, also Spanish, Alonso López, showed their new sponsor on their motorcycles and overalls since Friday.

It’s not what you think

However, the name of the company only has a double meaning for Spanish fans, because in Italian, where the company comes from, the sexual connotation of the name in Spanish is completely lost and has no meaning. In fact, Folladore is a “powder varnish company synonymous with excellence”, according to the company itself on its website. They have varnish for everything: for industrial parts, furniture, fences and more.

Nevertheless, Folladore caught the attention of some Twitter users, who couldn’t help but joke about this new main sponsor of the SpeedUp team in the French MotoGP GP in the Moto2 class.
