World boxing once again suffered a sad defeat as it was confirmed that South African boxer Simiso Buthelezi died after sustaining a brain injury.
The South African boxer starred in some dramatic pictures in which he was completely disturbed by the fight with his compatriot Siphesihle Mntungwa. Because of his obviously poor condition, he was transferred to King Edward VIII Hospital where he was placed in an induced coma.
In the fight, the World Boxing Association (WBA) African lightweight title was contested, but it was left behind after the boxer’s seriousness was confirmed. Finally, today it was confirmed that he died in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) of the said hospital after suffering a brain hemorrhage. Rest in peace.
