How much does it cost to organize the Olympic Games and how much revenue is expected in Paris 2024?

Almost all (96%) of the budget allocated to the organization of the Paris 2024 Olympic and Paralympic Games comes from the private sectorthat is, from the IOC, associated companies, the Games ticket office and the issuing of licenses.

The budget covers all aspects of planning, organizing and executing the eventincluding the rental of venues, the preparation and operation of facilities, the organization of competitions, the reception of delegations, the accommodation and transportation of athletes, the security service for competition venues and ceremonies opening and closing.

The Paris 2024 organizing committee confirms that the event It will be “a lever to boost activity and employment”, thanks to “more than 181,000 jobs mobilized”.

This indicates that this figure includes jobs created specifically for the occasion and jobs that, in some way, can be associated with the Olympic Games, but already exist.

In 2022, Paris 2024 conducted a budget review to better reflect the various costs and risks of a project like this.

Trade association: 1.1 billion euros

Other income: 200 million euros
