F1 fever has reached the Barcelona Fan Village

With a Pit Walk through this unique Village led by the President of the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya and Minister of Business and Employment, Roger Torrent, the Sports Councilor of the Barcelona City Council, David Escudé, the CEO of Circuit, Oriol Sagrera, and The Director of the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya, Josep Lluís Santamaria, gave the signal for the arrival of the first event related to the next Spanish F1 GPhe F1 Barcelona Fan Festival, a village that was inaugurated this Saturday in the emblematic Plaça Catalunya in Barcelona and aims to bring the world of F1 closer to the citizens until next June 22.

This is an event organized in the city center to warm up the engine of the fans before the Spanish GP is held at the Barcelona-Catalunya circuit from June 21 to 23. It is a free access area and it is only necessary to download the invitation from Circuit’s ticket portal (www.circuitcat.com).

They offer a series of activities for all audiences from F1 Sim Racing simulators, games like F1 Blast Lane, inspired by the teams’ wind tunnels, and the Batak Reflex Challenge, a reflex game which is often used by drivers. There are also three Spaces where an F1 show car decorated with the classic Gaudinian ‘trencadís’ is displayed at the Espai Campions and Aston Martin and Red Bull have also donated their show cars for their respective spaces.

At Espai Montjuïc, children from the Monlau Technical School, the accredited training academy for pilots and engineers for two and four wheels, perform a Pit-Stop simulation of a single-seater.

There are also gastronomic proposals, a Kids Zone for the little ones, a store with official merchandising, and a stage where every day at 4 pm – except on weekends when there are also sessions at 12 pm such as Txarly Brown DJ, Mon DJ, Els Amics de les Arts, Hotel Cochambre, Magic Pol or Robert de Palma Dj among others.

The doors of this F1 Village will be open on June 15, 16 and 22 from 11 am to 9 pm and from 12 pm to 9 pm And on Saturday the 22nd (from 4 to 5 pm) you can follow the Grand Prix classification live on a giant screen.

“We have opened Formula 1 to the family public and to everyone who wants to enjoy its excitement and without the possibility of accessing the Grand Prix,” explained Roger Torrent, President of the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya and Minister of Business and Employment gave details about the expected creation of this Village F1.

“About 6,000 people have already passed through Plaça Catalunya and 65,000 QR codes (the way to access the venue) have been downloaded and are expected to reach 100,000. and explain what Catalonia is and what it has to offer,” insisted he.

This Wednesday, June 19 at 6 p.m., Residents of Barcelona will witness second activity of the F1 Barcelona Fan Festival in the city center, the ‘F1 Live Barcelona Road Show’, a Formula 1 exhibition along Passeig de Gracia, between Plaça Catalunya and Aragó, where more details will be given in the coming days.
