He Getafe CF launched its season ticket campaign with an emotional video commemorating the club’s founding at the extinct bar ‘The Marquee’. Air base workers are included as the protagonist and under the motto ‘Time Proof’, The azulón team will begin renewing season tickets this Monday, June 17.
In 1946, the workers of the Getafe air base met at the end of their working day in the old bar ‘La Marquesina’, located in Madrid Street, number 35. Now in 2024, Getafe CF is traveling back in time with its season ticket campaign titled ‘A test of time’, the story of how a group of youngsters from Getafe fought to regain football in the town in the late of the 1940s. In this short film, Getafe wants to pay tribute to two of its most famous fans such as Javier Alonso and Eusebio Acñero. Both helped write the club’s recent history and the two main characters embodied the sentiments of the five founding members: Enrique Condes, Aurelio Miranda, Antonio Corredor, Manuel Serrano and Miguel Cubero, which is referred to in dialogues.
Also playing an important role is the bar waiter, represented by former footballer Luis López. He captained the historic first promotion to First division in 2004, which now marks 20 years in the 2024/2025 season. Through his figure, a representation of the team that reached the historical milestone is incorporated.
In the cast, the actors Luis Mottola and Fernando Lucas García Siles while recording and filming had the collaboration of Igor Alejandro Romero, Benny Teran and Óscar Montañoas well as the Restaurant ‘El Anticuario’ and the company Rol Digital SL.
