Spain should pay attention to the German Euro Cup for the 2030 World Cup

Date:

The European Championship in Germany has not yet passed its midpoint, but its start is unparalleled. Only good things can be heard about this 2024 edition, beyond what is happening on the field of play, and Spain should pay attention to the organization of the 2030 World Cup.

In particular, the organization has a noble level and the mobility prepared by the Germans, very strict so that everything works perfectly, has an almost excellent level. Although the Euro Cup attracts millions of fans from different cultures, there have only been two isolated episodes of violent incidents and the cities have not been in chaos, even at the level of dirt.

Germany has it in mind and the most striking thing is to see so many green jackets all over the city until they get to the stadium. An endless number of volunteers and workers for UEFA act as guides to help fans reach their destinations. They are in the squares, on the streets and in the train and bus stations many hours before the game starts. All this, added to the number of police and security forces that can be seen outside the stadiums that host them.

But if there’s one thing that also stands out, it’s the transportation alternatives. That is what you should emphasize. Spain with the 2030 World Cup, because Germany is a success. It should be considered that all fans travel between different places (Berlin, Cologne, Dortmund, Düsseldorf, Frankfurt, Gelsenkirchen, Hamburg, Leipzig, Munich and Stuttgart) This is an issue that goes beyond the Euro Cup and the country has understood it to such an extent that it has thought about sustainability so as not to have an impact on the climate due to cars running.

So, Germany, as he did in the World Cup he organized in 2006was included in the fans’ entry Free transportation in an agreement with Deutsche Bahn, the leading company in its sector in Europe. Not all of it, but the RE and R lines, which connect the cities, as well as the S, which is the underground line that all the cities have. And in Germany, the public transport is copied in each of them, which makes it easier for this event to happen, something that does not happen in Spain.

Not to mention the quality of public transport. There are endless lines RE, R, S-Bahn (commuter train) and U-Bahn (meters) and they pass so frequently, that delays are almost rare. And, outside of these services, there are also buses or even some cities with trams (like Frankfurt or Leipizg). Public transport also runs most of the night.

As if that wasn’t enough, all major host cities are connected by lines ICE (high-speed train), which will be similar to the AVE that exists in Spain. There are many of them and they happen very often, with prices from 60 euros to 120 euros maximum (in tourist class), so it is also an ideal medium for fans. NHowever, it was the line that caused the most problems during the Euro Cup, with frequent delays, even up to more than an hour.

The capacity of this public transport of Germany This clearly makes a difference for the Euro Cup and its operation, as well as for the German citizens themselves. Without traffic jams, without pollution and with endless options, it is undoubtedly a system to copy for any major championship, although not everyone will have the same infrastructure.
