Usyk has another appointment with Fury in Ryad, on December 21. He will not follow the rules of the Federation who are obliged to defend his crown before the official candidate, the British Daniel Duboiswho becomes the interim champion.
“Anthony, Daniel, listen. I know the IBF title is important to you. It’s my gift for September 21,” Usyk said in a video referring to Daniel Dubois’ fight with the British. Anthony Joshuawho will now have the International Federation belt as an incentive.
Usyk plans to leave heavyweight after fulfilling the contract stipulated with Fury, who returned to the crusader category.
