The ninth stage of the Tour de France It turns out, as expected, to be absolutely exciting. The 14 dirt sections, in just over 30 kilometers, caused all the cyclists, especially the runners, to do great things in the race.
It had been a busy day, one of the give and take stages, and one of the special moments experienced in the race was the attack of Remco Evenepoelwho at first was surprised Tadej Pogacar and Jonas Vingegaard.
Starting at the back of the elite group, Evenepoel accelerated with 78 kilometers to go, right at the top of the Côte de Chacenay (4th, km 121.2). No one answered him at first. And indeed the world time trial champion, second overall, took a few meters.
It took him a few seconds, but Tadej Pogacar, leader of the Tour, immediately passed the third place finisher and winner of the last two editions of the Grande Boucle, Jonas Vingegaard. In the end, the three of them will be together.
But in the end, seeing there was nothing left for them to do, the three put their feet up and the massive stage continued.
