The urban artist TVBoy, who throughout his career has portrayed his graffiti Messi, Alexia Putellas either Rosalia in the streets of Barcelona, this time he painted a mural asking for respect Lamine Yamal and Nico Williamstwo of the revelations of the Euro Cup.
The image, located in the Parque de Glòries, depicts two youngsters from Barcelona and Athletic, aged 16 and 21 respectively, smiling and with a ball under their arm with the message in English ‘Respect!’ at the top and red.
Lamine Yamalgrew up in the Rocafonda neighborhood (Mataró, Barcelona) and has a Moroccan father and a Guinean-Ecuadorian mother, and Nico Williams, born in Pamplona and Ghanaian parents, is part of the second generation of immigrants and now represents Spain in top of European football.
“Respect for these kids! The new generations of football are instilling a new spirit of joy and happiness, representing a beacon of hope and positivity in a global context that often sees us divided,” TVBoy said on Instagram its profile.
The Italian artist, based in Spain, is known for his political satire, including world famous athletes in some of his works, to fight social injustices and send powerful messages through art .
“Their enthusiasm and passion not only unites fans around the world, but also shows how sport can be a powerful tool for social cohesion, overcoming obstacles and promoting unity in an era characterized by deep divisions,” TVBoy added in the same message on their social networks.
