A goal by midfielder Jefferson Lerma in the 39th minute on what was James’ sixth assist sealed the coffee team’s classification at Bank of America Stadium in Charlotte.
The team led by Néstor Lorenzo played the entire second half with a man down after sending off right back Daniel Múñoz who saw his second yellow card for elbowing Manuel Ugarte in the chest in the 45+ 1.
