Late, but there is still a legally binding verdict in the Eurofighter case. Alfons Mensdorff-Pouilly, who was convicted of money laundering in 2022, has now been acquitted by the Higher Regional Court. The “Count” spoke to the “Crown” about the acquittal in the last case still pending against him.

After 19 years, it’s over. Alfons Mensdorff-Pouilly – also known as ‘Count Ali’ – stood in court for the last time on Wednesday. In total, he was charged with four charges. This time, he was acquitted. To be more precise: the Higher Regional Court commuted a guilty verdict for money laundering with a six-month prison sentence and 50,000 euros in damages to an acquittal.
