American singer Lady Gaga was the first surprise of the opening ceremony of the Paris Games. He left the usual Paris metro station, which had been built for the occasion by the Seine. And of course, this being Paris, he offered a cabaret act. In French he sang ‘Mon truc en plumes’ by Zizi Jeanmaire, a very popular classic in France, published in 1971.
Dressed in black and with platinum blonde hair, she was joined by a dozen dancers with pink pompoms who in the first seconds tried to cover her face. When Lady Gaga appeared, ‘oooohs’ filled the stands of spectators along the Seine who also followed the party from the giant screens.
Lady Gaga It appears early in the journey along the Seine, soon after a magical boat with children and a hooded figure launches a parade, in a small boat with the Olympic flame, from at the bridge of Austerlitz.
Although her involvement has been kept under wraps, she has been seen several times this week in the French capital.
