For fans who want to close their trip early to follow their favorite drivers, there is now a Grand Prix that has got an official date on the 2025 calendar. It is the British GP at Silverstone that will take place this weekend is there was the Catalunya GP, the last weekend of May.
It is the first time since the British GP returned to the cathedral of Motorsport Silverstone that it will be held further away in the calendar, making the question of weather even stronger. When it returned in 2010, it occupied the third weekend of June and was kept in summer, whether in June, July, August or early September, to ensure that the weather conditions corresponded to the current season not always enjoying it.
This year the turnout at Silverstone on the first weekend of August has not been impressive despite the allure of the 75th Anniversary celebrations. On Sunday they drew 42,529 viewers for a weekend total of 117,867.
Looking ahead to 2025, they will enter in the spring and stay on the last weekend of May, from the 23rd to the 25th, which is exactly the same weekend that the Catalunya GP has this year.
The remaining appointments for 2025 still have no official dates. It was recently confirmed that in 2025 there will be the Indian GP at Buddh and the Argentine GP at Termas de Río Hondo, two of the GPs that collapsed this year due to various financial problems.
