The Spanish Federationat the Commission of Second B – Second RFEF held this Thursday, suggested takestarting next season, the format of play off of that category with roundtrip qualifiersa. In addition, this standard will be applied to other categories (First RFEF and Third RFEF).
After the period of reflection and consultations that the RFEF itself opened on Monday with territorial federations and with clubs, so it was proposed back to the traditional format with two-legged playoffs. In the case of the Second RFEF, the system will be the same for Tournament of Permanence, played by the four worst teams finishing thirteenth in their groups.
It should be noted that, in an exceptional scenario due to a pandemic, the RFEF implemented a final stage of single place to ensure the completion of competitions. Listened to the complaints of the clubs, it will re-impose this format from the next 2022-2023 campaign.
