The Disciplinary Committee of Spanish Football Federation (RFEF) has imposed a two-match ban on the coach of Cartagena, Abelardo Fernandez, for his dismissal for a straight red card in injury time of the match played on the second day against Saragossa (1-2).
Abelard was sent off at 90+7 minutes for protesting an unsignaled foul on Lucas Roman ‘Pocho’, which would eventually end in the second goal for the expert team, which would reach the end of the match.
“Attitudes of contempt or disregard for referees, directors or sports authorities”, indicates the arbitration report, in addition to their action was allowed an accessory fine of €400 for the club and € 600 for the offender.
Likewise, the Disciplinary Committee also allowed players José León and Adrián Lapeña, from Tenerife and Córdoba, respectively, a match suspension for “direct expulsion”, with an accessory fine of €200 to the club and €600 to the offender.
