The UEFA has agreed to reduce the maximum ticket prices local clubs can charge visiting supporters in its three men’s club competitions, the Champions League, Europa League and Conference League.

According to a statement from the continental organization, it is “a decision that underlines the commitment of UEFA to make European football more accessible and affordable for all fans” and which is “supported by UEFA Club Competitions Committee“,

“It highlights the important role fans play in creating the exciting atmosphere that defines UEFA Champions LeagueThe UEFA Europa League and the UEFA Conference Leagueand recognizes the passionate support that fans give to their teams in important matches. By making matches more accessible to fans, UEFA aims to preserve this unique aspect of European football culture.”

Starting this season, the maximum ticket price for visiting fans will be 60 euros in the Champions League, 40 in the Europa League and 20 in the Conference League. These prices will be reduced in the next 2025-26 campaign, to 50, 35 and 20.

The UEFA adding that this decision came after “extensive consultation with the European Club Association (ECA) and Supporters of Football Europe (ESF), and is part of a wider collective work to improve the fan experience in European football competitions and reflects a shared commitment between UEFA and stakeholders to always put the fans first.”

The Slovenian Alexander Ceferinpresident of UEFA, emphasizes that this agreement “represents another important step to reaffirm the commitment” of the organization “to improve the experience of all fans on match day” and that in this kind of more fan-friendly policies they continue their “mission to maintain football as an inclusive sport where fans who travel across Europe to follow their teams are valued and recognised.”

Nasser Al-Khelaifipresident of the ECA, indicated that the reduction of the maximum ticket price for visiting fans “is an important signal from all the clubs” that are members of the organization he leads to “actively contribute to the improvement of the general experience matches for fans”.

Ronan Evainexecutive director of the FSE, also commented that this is “further recognition of the importance of visiting fans in the match environment of European clubs” and that it “represents another positive achievement in joint work” with UEFA and the clubs.
