The Spanish Mikel Arteta has renewed his contract with Arsenal until 2027. This was made official by the London club this Thursday.
The Spanish coach, who has a contract until June 2025, has extended his commitment to the ‘Gunners’ for two years, a club he joined in 2019 to replace Unai Emery and whom he won a FA Cup in 2020.
Arteta has also done the Arsenalwhich was runner-up in the last two editions of Premier League and classified it into Champions League the last two seasons, ending a six-year absence from top continental competition.
The Spanish received reinforcements this summer from Raheem Sterling, Mikel Merino and Riccardo Calafiori and chooses to compete for the throne of England against Manchester City, champion of the last four leagues. At the start of the season, Arsenal had seven points, after two wins and a draw.
This Sunday they will visit the Tottenham Hotspur in a match marked by midfield absences due to injuries to Martin Odegaard and Merino and the punishment of Declan Rice.
