The Dutch Puck Langenbarg, 18, was declared junior European champion this Sunday in Hasselt (Belgium) by winning a final sprint where a fall occurred with several cyclists involved and where Paula Ostiz, first Spanish, was sixth.
The junior women’s World Cup race took place on a circuit between Heusden-Zolder and Hasselt with a route of 72.9 kilometers.
The fastest was Puck Langenbarg, who completed the course in 1h43:15, beating the German Messane Bräutigam, second, and the Czech Štěpánka Dubcová, third, in the sprint.
The first Spaniard, the Navarrese Paula Ostiz, was sixth with the win. Ayala Serrano finished in 24th place, Esmeralda Racionero in 65th and Leyre Almena in 68th Irati Arangunen and Celia Torres did not finish, who fell with 52 kilometers to go.
