Paralympic triathlete Kini Carrasco has announced her retirement

The athlete from Cáceres marked this competition as his last as a professional athlete, retire after 36 active years.

This was announced by the Extremadura Triathlon Federation (Fextri), recalling that Carrasco began his sports career linked to basketball, where he would continue to play with Cáceres in the second division, “but a motorcycle accident in which he lost arm. his life changed at the age of 20.

Regarding his final test in Valencia, Kini Carrasco was declared runner-up in Spain in the Paralympic Triathlon, in the PTS3 category, by crossing the finish line with a time of one hour, 22 minutes and 51 seconds.

The native of Extremadura had a “great competition” and tasted in the last few meters of the finish line “the great enthusiasm of a public dedicated to an athlete who gave us so much joy,” underlined the federation.

Furthermore, a day later the Extremaduran legend participated in the Spanish Inclusive Relay Triathlon Championship, where he also won a silver medal.
