With more than a dozen players in contention for much of the fourth round, Englishman Dan Bradbury finally emerged from the pack with three consecutive birdies on the back nine and held on to victory at the French Open in Le Golf National , outside Paris , with 268 strokes, 16 under par. Bradbury played in the penultimate group and shot a bogey-free 66.
He celebrated his par putt on the final hole with a fist in the air and then watched from the card-signing booth as Thorbjørn Olesen and Sam Bairstow finished one back, tied with Jeff Winther and Yannik Paul.
The victory guaranteed Bradbury entry to the Abu Dhabi HSBC Championship and the DP World Tour Championship in nearby Dubai. this Sunday.
