Presented ‘Boxing for Change’, a project promoting integration and inclusion through boxing

‘Boxing for Change – In boxing you learn’ It is an initiative that binds to Spanish Boxing Federation and Scholas Occurrenteswith the support of Italian Boxing Federation and the Romanian Boxing Federationin collaboration with Sport Senza Frontiere. The project was chosen by the European Commission within the framework of Erasmus called it ‘Cooperation Partnership – Sport’.

During the presentation conference, Felipe Martínez, president of the Spanish Boxing Federationhighlighted the importance of the project: “This is a unique opportunity to convey the fundamental values ​​through sport, bringing together the three countries in a message of integration and peace.”

In its part, José María Del Corral, president of Scholas Occurrenteshighlighted the role of education in the project, recalling that the organization was founded by Pope Francis, who “firmly believes that change must arise from education, and that everything must start from the base.” He thanked the cooperation of the federations that joined to carry out this initiative, highlighting the importance of sport as a tool for social change, and at the end he invited those present to join in the day of prayer for peace called by Holy Pope .

The project involves 2,000 youth, including 1,750 students and 250 youth in detention centers, who will receive specific training with 80 technicians and 40 teachers. In total, the program will cover 35 schools and 5 juvenile prisons in Spain, Italy and Romania.

The project will end in Joy Summer Camp 2025where participants will have the opportunity to share experiences with ambassadors and champions such as Emmanuel Reyes, Ayoub Ghadfa, Michael Magnesi and other famous athletes.
