The Biscayan Ander Ganzabalpromoted from the Laboral Kutxa training team, is the first addition announced by Euskaltel-Euskadi for the 2025 season.
Ganzabal, 24 years old and signed until 2026, is the ninth cyclist confirmed by the Basque squad for next year since Jon Aberasturi, Nicolás Alustiza, Mikel Bizkarra, Iker Bonillo, Víctor de la Parte, Xabier Isasa, Iker Mintegi and Unai Zubeldia has a current contract.
Euskaltel-Euskadi appreciates the Orozko rider as “one of the references of the amateur peloton” in 2024 where he added six victories -Estella, Gorla, Irún, a stage and the general of the Montañés Circuit and the elite Espanyol Championship – and the final victory in the Euskaldun Tournament.
With a degree in Physical Activity Sciences, the Biscayan made his professional debut this season, running as a ‘stagiare’ (amateur) with Euskaltel-Euskadi in several classics in Belgium and Italy in the last two weeks.

“A first year of learning and adapting and the last two years at Laboral Kutxa. I look forward to next year to find my place in the professional peloton and find out what kind of rider I am. I am among the amateurs is an all-rounder without being a specialist in any area,” he admits.
On the other hand, Jorge Azanzasports manager of Euskaltel-Euskadi, explains Ganzabal, “a very complete runnerwho has long-distance runner qualities and is also a Basque speaker,” reflected the “excitement of having people from home in the team.”
“Another year in the amateur category has been good for him to really show his development. There’s the Spanish Championship and the whole season he’s had shows consistency and level. He’s accumulated more a lot of experience and take a leap with more guarantees,” Azanza assures.
