The midfielder of Bayern Munich, Aleksandar Pavlovicunderwent surgery after breaking his collarbone in Saturday’s 4-0 win over the Stuttgartas announced by the club on Sunday. Pavlovic was injured in the eighth minute after falling heavily on his shoulder and the injury will keep the Germany international out for “the coming weeks”, the club said.
Bayern reported that a post-match examination confirmed the injury and that Pavlovic underwent successful surgery on Sunday morning. It is the latest setback for the 20-year-old midfielder, who is considered one of the young talents in German football. Pavlovic was part of Germany’s Euro 2024 squad but was ruled out due to illness just four days before the start of the tournament.
Bayern’s next game is against FC Barcelona in the Champions League on Wednesday.
