The president of the International Motorcycle Federation (FIM), the Portuguese Jorge Viegas, gave assurance in a short message from his X account about the issue of compensation to Carlos Tataywho became a paraplegic after an accident in a motorcycle competition.
On his account @jorgepviegas, the FIM president said verbatim: “Dear all those who are concerned about Carlos Tatay#99: the FIM remains very committed and concerned in his case and is doing everything to solve it. In my opinion, there was a misunderstanding on the part of the insurance company, but Carlos will receive his compensation. Thank you!”
The message came shortly after the pilot and many of his followers ‘posted’ a video recorded by himself on the social network, which explains the communication received from the FIM refusing compensation for damages sustained in competition.
