José Mourinho has been as controversial throughout his career for his technical direction as for his press conferences. Yesterday, after winning in the last minute (2-3) against Trabzonspor in a very heated match, he unleashed a series of cracks in a press conference. Seeing his celebration and how he walked into the locker room tunnel addressing rival fans, one might have expected him to say something, but it wasn’t all that much.
”I can’t believe this is the dimension of the Super League. “The Turkish League is too dark, too grey, it stinks.”
Mourinho: ”They told me half the story”
Their anger was so great because of a penalty that occurred during the game and they did not whistle when they were given two matches. That’s why he declared that “they are playing against a good team and against the system.” ”‘We played against good rivals, but also against the system. That’s the hardest thing we have against VAR, against the system. That’s why we celebrate like this after winning. We won against very strong people. He warned in a press conference that he will post the play on his social networks for everyone to see because few people have seen the Turkish championship. And he did it on his official Instagram account.
“Not many people outside Türkiye watch Turkish league matches. I will post it on my Instagram and millions of people will see it.” And so it was. On Mourinho’s profile on the said social network, he posted the controversial move. “Look and smile. If you like, watch the game because the funny situations don’t stop in this clip”.
