Lugo arrived with the premise of imposing their pace of play but in the Ruta de la Plata they ran into reality. Zamora came out for the game and was able to dominate in the early moments. So Clavería, in a low corner on the edge of the area, pushed into the net with a backheel. The first half performance was capped off by Argentine Rufo Lucero with a second goal after half an hour.
In the second half, Juan Sabas’ team slowed down in terms of intensity but not in pressure and dominated with a few more chances from Kike Márquez to score a third. Lugo started looking for the goal and the defensive line but both Bolo and Carlos Gutiérrez cleared the danger.
