Here’s how the 2024 F1 World Championship classification looks at the Las Vegas GP: matches with just two races left

Date:

Max Verstappen closed the title by increasing his advantage enough to 2024 F1 World Championship classification after the Las Vegas GP. He had to leave the North American event with a margin of more than 30 points, with the championship still to play for in the last two events of the year (with a sprint in Qatar). And he did it.

The Dutchman was ahead of his rival for the crown in Las Vegas, completely missing with a McLaren disappearing on the freezing asphalt.

Apart from the fight for the title, it has already been decided, in the last two races there are still fights. The first, that of Charles Leclerc and Lando Norris for the runner-up position. Norris was 6th and Leclerc, 4th. The Monegasque still has mathematical options, albeit few, as the McLarens should be superior to the Ferraris in the two remaining circuits. For his part, Carlos Sainz, in his third position, shaved a few points from Piastri, who could only be 7th. Thus, the Spaniard is only 9 points away from 4th place in the 2024 F1 World Championship classification after the Las Vegas GP.

The battle for 6th place between the two Mercedes looks beautiful and very painful. Russell is 9 points ahead of his teammate Hamilton, who will go to Ferrari next year.
