Franco Colapinto (Williams) explained this Sunday after finishing 14th in the Las Vegas GP that “he could have added points if he had started from the front”. but starting late and from the pit lane hurt him in the race.
The Argentine crashed Saturday’s qualifying against the inside wall at turn sixteen and had to start from the pit lane in Sunday’s race, despite finishing fourteenth in qualifying.
After the heavy blow, the Argentine explained that they sent him back to the hotel “with a brain concussion” and the weekend was “messy,” because he was sure he would score, he told DAZN.
“We have to work now for Qatar, because in Las Vegas there was a lot of degradation and I wanted to give the mechanics something to celebrate tonight, but I can’t,” concluded Colapinto.
