The Dutch Grand Prix will disappear from the calendar from 2027as announced this Wednesday by the championship organization.
A one-year extension was agreed with the promoter on 2026with that race at Zandvoort already It will be held in sprint format for the first time.
Stefano Domenicalipresident of Formula 1, thanked for the work done by the Dutch race in recent years and stressed that they have become an example for the development of other events in Europe in terms of spectacle and entertainment.
For his part, Robert van Overdijk, director of the Dutch Grand Prix, sees this year’s competition as “undoubtedly a great success” and appreciates the great reception of spectators, drivers and teams that participate.
The Dutch Grand Prix returns to the calendar in 2021, after an absence of several yearsand with the rise of Max Verstappen, the Dutch four-time Formula 1 world champion.
The driver has won three races at Zaandvort (2021, 2022 and 2023) and has been relegated to second place this season, behind British Lando Norris.
In 2025, the event will take place from August 29 to 31 and tickets are on sale now. There is still no official date for the 2026 grand prix, which will be announced next year.
