Expected Michael Antonio34, will be out of the pitch for at least a year after the striker West Ham united who underwent surgery for a broken leg sustained in a horrific car accident on Saturday afternoon.
Antonio, who was taken to hospital after crashing his Ferrari in Epping, faces a long recovery after undergoing surgery yesterday. It is not clear if the player’s injuries will force him to retire from football, but it is almost certain that he will not play again this season and it is feared that the best case scenario will be at least a year of rehabilitation.
West Ham, who host Wolves in the Premier League tonight, said on Saturday night that Michail Antonio was in a stable condition and was conscious and talking.
