The penalty imposed by UEFA on Serbia

He UEFA Control, Ethics and Disciplinary Committee this Wednesday allowed the Serbian Football Association with a partial suspension of two matches and a fine of 173,000 euros for incidents during matches of League of Nations played by the Balkan team Switzerland and Denmark.

Through an official statement, the organization of UEFA recalled that on November 15, before and during the dispute of Switzerland-Serbiaseveral acts of negligence were committed: leaving visiting fans, lighting flares, throwing objects, damage to the visiting stadium, racist and discriminatory behavior, sending messages inappropriate for a sporting event and kick-off delay.

By lighting fireworks, the UEFA Control, Ethics and Disciplinary Committee sanction the Serbian Football Association with 8,250 euros; for sending inappropriate messages, with 25,000 euros; for launching things, with 31,500 euros; In addition, it includes another penalty of 50,000 euros and the ban on ticket sales to visiting Serbian fans for the next two UEFA competition matches; and another 5,000 for damages.

And at the meeting Serbia-Denmark played on November 18, the Committee also warned of irregularities due to racist behaviour, invasion of the field of play and lighting of flares. In two seconds, he fined the Serbian Football Association with 10,000 and 3,250 euros, respectively.

For all the irregularities, the UEFA ordered the implementation of the suspended disciplinary measure imposed by the Appeal Committee on October 30, 2024 for the discriminatory behavior of his followers. Because of this, the stadium will be partially closed. Serbian Football Association with at least 4,000 seats in the next UEFA competition match.

And due to the discriminatory behavior of its fans in recent matches, UEFA has ordered the Serbian Football Association to be fined 40,000 euros and the partial closure of the stadium with at least 8,000 seats for further matches.
