Matheus Cunhaplayer of Wolverhampton Wanderershas been accused by the English federation (FA) of “misconduct” after hitting a member of the coaching staff of Town of Ipswich.
The Brazilian player hit this worker with his elbow and later grabbed his face and aggressively removed his glasses. This action could lead to a several game suspension for the forward.
“Matheus Cunha was accused of misconduct after the match in between Wolverhampton Wanderers and the Town of Ipswich on Saturday, December 14. “The player is alleged to have behaved in an inappropriate manner after the final whistle and has until Thursday 19 December to provide a response,” the FA said in a statement.
The incident occurred at the moment of the rivalry between wolves and the Ipswich which the ‘Tractors’ took at the last minute. This loss at the buzzer worsened the situation for a penultimate Wolves, who have nine points in 16 games, five from safety, and have lost the last four games.
