News about the new agreement in women’s football

Date:

The Ministry of Labor has not yet received the text of new collective agreement for the First Women’s Division, signed on October 29, a fact known to the Football Players Association (AFE) after signing next AND a text to request text legality control.

AFE and UGT did not sign the new agreement, the second for women’s football, signed by Liga F and the unions FUTPRO, Futbolistas On and CC.OO. because in his opinion it maintains a social gap with respect to the two men’s football agreements, that of the professional and the First RFEF.

The union led by David Aganzo confirmed to EFE that it presented an appeal to the ministry on November 22 to study whether there may be illegalities in the new text before its publication and that the response from the General Directorate of Labor is yet to come. – publish.

In the opinion of the AFE, the new agreement represents a clear setback, because, among other aspects, there is no salary guarantee fund for female players, as the men’s agreements reflect, and there is no negotiations with the unions, only information is given, the preparation of the calendar, as happens with men’s calendars.

For the AFE, article 2, on a personal level, also protects the vulnerability of the players, because every year they have to start from scratch despite being part of the team dynamic and recognized that they are protected by the collective agreement.

The text, which is valid from July 1, 2024 and until June 30, 2026, indicates that players with a license from the subsidiary team who have been called up in at least 12 official matches or who have played will be included in the scope of its application. 10. The failure to send the text to the Ministry of Labor reflects, in the opinion of the AFE, a lazy attitude on the part of the signatories and a lack of respect for the players themselves.
