Felipe Orts (29 years old) continues to offer excellent cyclocross performance. The man from Alicante, already established in the elite of the best CX, just finished a gray 14th place in Namur World Cup (Belgium), but this Saturday, on a circuit that fits him like a glove, he achieved an excellent second place, his best result so far in World Cup which puts him 5th overall in the World Cup, tied with a legend of this discipline like the Belgian Eli Iserbyt.
Orts, runner of Ridley Racing Teamis very well adapted to Hulst circuit technicianmarked by mud, some hard slopes and some serious descents. The man from Alicante managed to hold his own in second place throughout the seven laps of the test, and even claimed the Belgian Niels Vandeputte who made a good start to lead the test and know how to manage the difference.
For his part, Orts did not make any mistakes and kept the margin on the Belgian Eli Iservytwhich was eventually overtaken by the Dutch Pim Ronhaar to finish fourth.
“It was a good circuit for me and I had a very good feeling from the start. I ran very fast from the start and I had a good race. This is my best World Cup result,” declared Orts at the end of the career.
