After the Prologue comes the first test of the Dakar 2025. Stage 1 of the new edition in Saudi Arabia includes 413 km of special and it’s time to make a strategy to best face the 48-hour stage that starts this Sunday.
In the motorcycles, Daniel Sanders won the stage again after also winning the Prologue stage. The KTM Australian consolidated his lead while the best Spaniard by far was Tosha Schareina, who finished nearly five minutes behind the winner. As is normal in his debut year, Edgar Canet reached the finish line struggling even more and ended up giving up after half an hour. In fact, in the last stage there was controversy due to alleged errors in the roadbook and probably there were complaints that could lead to a refund of the minute and the classification to be changed.
General classification of motorcycles after Stage 1:
1. Daniel Sanders (AUS/KTM) 4:58:18
