Former world number 1 Serena Williamswho lost his debut at Wimbledon on Tuesday, asked about his future and said he didn’t know what he would do or if it would be his last Wimbledon.
“I can’t answer that question,” Serena said when asked if this would be her last Wimbledon. “I don’t know what I’m going to do. I live every day. I play every day,” he added.
The American, a seven -time All England Club winner, fell in a third set super tie break to Harmony Tan of France in their first singles match in a year.
“It’s really better than last year,” Serena joked, then in 2021 she injured her leg after playing just six games in the first round.
On whether she would be happy if this is her last memory at Wimbledon, Serena was clear: “Obviously not, definitely not. But I gave everything I could. You want to train again, because you’ve been close. Get it if you want. you (win games), “he added.
Motivated to play the US Open
Asked about the US Open, the next Grand Slam on the calendar and starting on August 29, he said he was “motivated”.
