La Mar Chica brings science and music closer together in a fun way for young people between the ages of 8 and 13. The children’s department of La Mar de Músicas is programming five free workshops this summer and a family visit to the Fishermen’s Guild. The registration period, with limited places, opens this Wednesday at 9 am on the website of the Department of Culture, organizer of this varied programme. They will take place in several spaces, including the El Batel Auditorium and the El Luzzy Cultural Center. They will all take place from July 18 to 21, from 11:00 AM to 12:30 PM. While the Fishermen’s Guild tour takes place on Thursday, July 21 at 10 a.m.
For example, there is a workshop on games, stories and verses from the Caribbean, given by writer Marisa López Soria. Another one of percussion for the son, with Professor Juan Manuel Hermosilla; that of Caribbean Sweets, who will be in charge of Isabel Ruiz; and which is intended for children to repurpose plastic waste, carried out by the Oxigenarte collective.
