Two Spanish tennis players entered the ATP Player Council

The German Alexander Zverev changed his position on the ATP Player Council for the 2025 and 2026 seasons. The world number two is the biggest figure in the ‘union’ of tennis players within the machinery of the Association of Professional Tennis Players (ATP) that governs the circuit , which is currently under the presidency of Italian Andrea Gaudenzi, former ATP player.

Zverev, chosen as the representative of Europe by his colleagues between positions 1 and 50 in the world ranking, will continue, as well as the American Mackenzie McDonald (1-50 North America), the Serbian Dusan Lajovic (51-100 Europe ), the Mexican Miguel Ángel Reyes-Varela (1-75 doubles North America) and the Australian Matthew Ebden (international general).

The ATP announced that five new players entered, including two Spaniards, the Valencian Pedro Martinez (1-50 Europe) and Mallorca Jaume Munar (general Europe).

They will be released with the Russian Andrey Rublev (1-50 international), the Argentine Camilo Ugo Carabelli (51-100 South America) and the Italian Andrea Vavassori (1-25 doubles Europe).

The Italian Federico Ricci continues to represent the coaches and the Venezuelan Nicolás Pereira the former players.

Their first meeting will take place before the start of the Australian Open on Sunday the 12th.
