A brutal act of vandalism in the Tyrolean Jenbach! On Thursday, numerous fire extinguishers on the third floor of the ÖBB parking garage were again deliberately emptied and several cars on the parking deck were “seized”. Due to the smoke, passers-by thought there was a fire and raised the alarm.
Sirens sounded in Jenbach around 4 p.m. after the Tyrol control center reported a fire in a parking garage. Heavy smoke could be seen from the third floor of the ÖBB parking garage directly at the train station. The fire brigade, rescue brigade and police then arrived on the scene.
Investigations are underway
But fire chief Alexander Aschenwald and his colleagues soon realized that several fire extinguishers had again been maliciously vandalized and that the parking deck and the vehicles of the numerous ÖBB customers were “fogged up”. The police investigation is ongoing.
