Major search – dog fell in Mur: fire brigade rescued “Sascha”

Date:

A large-scale search for a dog kept firefighters in Großlobming busy on Wednesday: “Sascha” was reported missing by his owner. The Florianis went out with a boat and divers.

Apparently to cool off, the spaniel mix “Sascha” ventured into the Mur in Großlobming on Wednesday. But because his owner lost sight of him, she alerted the fire brigade. And she left quickly. While the comrades from Großlobming combed the Mur dike with foot troops, the Apfelberg fire brigade went in search of the four-legged friend with a boat and even divers.

“We also used a drone,” says operations manager Christoph Leitner from the Großlobming fire brigade. Shortly before nightfall and after a two-hour search, the owners finally got the good news: “Sascha” was spotted in a nearby restaurant, was picked up by the fire brigade and ultimately handed over to his overjoyed owners.

38 firefighters were involved in this animal rescue operation. The gratitude of dog owners is guaranteed to last forever.
