Martin Valjent, central defender of RCD Mallorca, has received medical discharge this morning, after spending several hours under observation in a hospital in Castellón.
The defender was transferred to the aforementioned center after receiving a very strong blow to the head of the Villarreal midfielder, Alex Baena in the 81st minute of the match played by both teams this Monday in Cerámica (4-0).
The crash referee is not considered appropriate remind in the Spanish international for that action, which ignited the spirits of Jagoba Arrasate, Majorcan coach, who saw a cardinrilla for their protests.
As reported by Mallorca on Tuesday, Valjent experienced “a trauma cranial brain injury (TBI), where he should be replaced in the 81st minute.” The player seemed to recover, but “after the game, he experienced a incompetence and needs to be transferred to the hospital in Castellón for tests and observation,” according to the Balearic club’s statement.
Fortunately, his evolution was positive and in the early hours of the morning he was discharged “once proven the tests are enjoyable. The player is awaiting development,” Mallorca’s statement concluded.
