Only recently were hundreds of carelessly discarded garbage bags found in the Spittal district for the second time – but the waste management association discovered the perpetrator.
This only makes many people shake their heads: several garbage bags – filled with food, among other things – were shamelessly thrown into a forest near the Drau in Spittal. As reported, this caused dissatisfaction, especially among walkers and the city community! Now the Waste Management Association (AWF) is also involved. “We removed the trash, cleaned it and searched it,” said Melissa Mentil of the AWF.
Bill led to waste offenders
And the employees came across an explosive detail. “We found a note with a name in the garbage bag. We then immediately forwarded this to the police,” Mentil continues. “It’s an Arnoldsteiner.” The environmental consultant wonders why the bags were thrown away in Spittal in the first place. “But that is now a matter for the police.”
The community wants to work with the AWF to take action against waste offenders. “We will keep an eye on the spot, which is not far from our location!”
